The Strength of Life

*DISCIPLINE IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PEOPLE WHO THROW THE PUNCHES AND THOSE WHO ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES.

1Corinthians 9:24-27 (LIV) In a race everyone runs, but only one person gets first prize. So run your race to win. To win the contest you must deny yourselves many things that would keep you from doing your best. An athlete goes to all this trouble just to win a blue ribbon or a silver cup, but we do it for a heavenly reward that never disappears. So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step. I fight to win. I'm not just shadowboxing or playing around. Like an athlete I punish my body, treating it roughly, training it to do what it should, not what it wants to. Otherwise I fear that after enlisting others for the race, I myself might be declared unfit and ordered to stand aside.

*DISCIPLINE MEANS AN ORDERLY, PLANNED, AND EFFECTIVE WAY OF CONDUCTING ALL THE AFFAIRS OF LIFE.

*DISCIPLINE SHOULD BE SEEN IN THE WAY WE TALK, WORK, STUDY, AND EAT.

Matthew 4:18-22 (KJV) And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

*A DISCIPLE IS SOMEONE WHO DISCIPLINES HIMSELF TO FOLLOW AND LIVE LIKE CHRIST.

1Corinthians 14:33 (KJV) For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Isaiah 1:19-20 (KJV) If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

1 Samuel 15:22-23 (KJV) And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Joshua 1:8-9 (KJV) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou mayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whither soever thou goest. If you are disciplined person you will have the strength to handle the attacks of the enemy, If you're loose you'll fall.
